Built in 1966 in time for Expo, Place Du Canada is one of the first buildings in Montreal to connect to the Ungeround City. As part of their LEED-EB conversion in 2008, the property managers commissioned Strathmore to create low-maintenance perennial beds on their rooftop gardens. The resulting landscape includes a dry river concept and plants designed to attract butterflies. Strathmore has maintained this LEED garden ever since and have gently tweaked and modified the design as we see the evolution. Strathmore also provides snow removal services at Place du Canada, allowing us to ensure the plant material not be damaged during the winter activities .
