Arboriculture Technicien

Location: Montreal

Job Type: Permanent, year round position

Wages: Depends on experience

The arborist-pruner takes care of trees in urban areas. They cut dead or healthy branches, carry out guying work, fertilize trees and shrubs and spray pesticides on trees to control insects and/or fight a disease. 


Responsibilities
 

  • Cut dead branches and prune healthy branches from trees.

  • Clear overhead line networks

  • Perform cabling and bracing on trees.  

  • Examine trees and determine treatment to apply in case of disease

  • Transport and use heavy materials and equipment while respecting all safety rules. 

  • Perform tool maintenance. 

  • Comply with Strathmore's policies and procedures. 

  • Adopt a courteous and polite attitude with customers and team members. 

  • Work safely and participate in safety meetings. 


For a perfect match

  • DEP in arboriculture-pruning from a recognized school

  • 1 to 3 years of experience

  • Good physical shape and have great stamina

  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
